Empowering Future Practitioners: Workshop on Family Therapy for PG Students

Bangalore, December 2024– The Peyton Institute for Families conducted a three-day“Workshop on Family Therapy” from 2nd to 4th December 2024 for M.Sc (Psychology) students of The School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore. This intensive training program, attended by 54 students and 3 faculty members, provided hands-on learning in therapeutic approaches to strengthen family systems.

Led by Fr. Royal Nazareth, CSC, the workshop blended interactive lectures, group discussions, role-plays, and case-based dialogues to deepen participants’ understanding of family dynamics and intervention strategies. The engaging methodology allowed students to bridge theory with practice, preparing them for real-world challenges in counseling and social work

Participants praised the workshop for its practical relevance and skill-building focus, noting how it enriched their professional competencies.
